I think I have a small problem. I’m just not sure what it is.
On the one hand, I am a very delusional knitter who should have known better than to try to cram “quick project!” and “smallest spi, largest size” into the same pair of fingerless mitts.
Truly, I am greatly bummed that I’ve only a bad picture to share with you all tonight.

On the other hand, I love those mitts so freaking much I want to knit more of them even though Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride worsted isn’t, in my opinon, the nicest yarn to knit using 4mm needles. I’m a tight knitter, so. Not very squishy yarn.
But they are so warm! So cozy! Densely knit but not stiff. Just good and windproof. I love them so much!
And none of my Lamb’s Pride stash has the colors I currently want to knit, of course. Because that’s the rule, right?
Brown/light blue. Yessssssssss.
My fingers hurt a bit from having knit 3,012 stiches each day yesterday and today.
But I love them so much!
I can’t believe my knitting speed is up to that many stitches a day now. Used to be I’d top out at 1,800. I keep track of these things. Don’t you?
I definitely have to knit another pair right now. But maybe in a much larger gauge. I love the Ann Budd patterns, all those sizes and gauges. Makes it so easy!
Fingerless Mitts, Weekend Knitting, 6 spi, the largest size. (I don’t have huge hands. Ha! Hardly. What I do have are hands that need a lot of flexibility and looseness in the finger area of any mitt.) Have I mentioned? I love them so much! It’s not a traditional in-the-round pattern, but the “ribbing” works so well and I love how there’s no bindoff on the top part of the mitt to pinch as I fingerflick. And the three needle bindoff is good. I might even consider adding a partial thumb.
But for now? I’ve got them next to my pillow, for overnight preening sessions. It’s too hot to wear them tonight, of course, because I finished them today.
