sockly destiny

5 July 2007

My very first skeins of Koigu, purchased for my birthday last year. It’s kind of funny that since then I’ve knit several pairs of Koigu socks, and just now I’m turning to the very first ones. But there you go. I’m glad I waited. You’ll see.

I’ll say this much – I may not yet be producing a pair of socks in a week, but taking four days per sock isn’t so terribly off pace, and is happifying, considering that I’m finally doing more complicated socks. You know. With the brains that can handle reading again. While for a very long time stockinette was my friend, and I was glad that I could still knit… it feels good, very good, to knit something that takes a bit more oomph.
