I did it. I knit an entire sock in five days. Did I knit a pair in seven? No. I did not. But I don’t mind. Not too much. Because this is one good looking sock, don’t you think?

I love everything about this sock. The yarn. The variegation. The patterning. The eye of partridge heel.
The toe, where I knit one repeat’s worth (16 rounds) of plain stockinette before I did the toe decreases, because I really didn’t want to see my toe “cleavage” in the holes of the lace pattern. Weird? I guess. But it looks nice, doesn’t it, and no weird toe action. I decreased on each side like a regular toe, and then drew up the last 12 stitches into a circle. Simple, quick, and fits well. And I rather like the stockinette toe.

I probably did this part differently than others who did the sock pattern, but I added the purl channels on both sides because I thought it looked more balanced this way.

Hot stockinette action! I love this yarn so much. Koigu, of course. And lovely mottled variegated goodness. MMmmMMmmmMMMmmmMMMmmm.

Now I just need to knit the second one.
