I love the effect of your garter through the back loops. :) And it's probably better on your mitts (which I love, BTW) than knitting through the front loops would have been. I like happy accidents.

I enjoyed making my Seafoam scarf, which is just garter with yarnovers.

Interesting. Didn't think of that. Well, welcome to the world of garter!

And yes, I want a horizontal garter scarf- but what colors?!?

Not crazy about the swiss cheese scarf. Sorry

I've been enjoying the garter stitch, too! And I knit backwards on stockinette, as I hate purling. It hurts my hands and wrists.

Love the knitting, and I'm SO glad you're feeling better!

For garter stitch, you can't go past a Faroese shawl.

Noro is now destined to be the diagonal garter stitch scarf.

Knitting into the back made it look so pretty! I was thinking "That's garter stitch?"

Oh yeah, the log cabin blanket from MDK is great. I've got one going. My favorite garter stitch project is my garter stitch lace shawl and the cable & garter stitch shell I knit last summer.

Garter Stitch Baby Bibs! I love garter stitch...so simple, but so much texture. Pity it gobbles up the yarn.

Yeah, the MDK log cabin blankets are great. And there are some kind of cool things in The Knit Stitch made from garter stitch.

I knit left-handed and knit into the back loop for a couple of YEARS before figuring it out. It's a design element.

The ultimate in garter stitch is probably the log cabin blanket from the Mason-Dixon girls. I keep saying I'm going to do one but haven't gotten around to it yet.
