The depth of the color in this yarn is hard to capture, but I think I did an okay job. I love how it’s red and black all at the same time.
This is one skein of Misti Alpaca chunky that I got on clearance at Arcadia in Chicago way back when my worst problem was “being freezing cold”. Ahhhh, memories.
And this is just a simple garter stitch rectangle, with five buttons on one end and a picot bindoff. Why? I don’t know, it was just what I wanted to do. I didn’t really set out with a plan, just had a vague idea of what I wanted to make and how to do it, and decided I’d just have fun with it. The buttons look cool, I think. Fun. And definitely close fitting, to take in account the whole “being freezing cold” thing, as well as how alpaca will stretch and stretch.
I can’t wait to need to wear it.
