peering out the foxhole

Whoops. It’s been a while since I’ve posted, hasn’t it? Small thing… strep throat. Yum yum. I sort of felt flattened and out of it for a while, barely doing more than knitting.

Knitting what? This week I’ll show you some of that carnage. First up, a new set of horcrux socks, because my original pair were heavily felted at the toes, poorly grafted, holey at the heels, badly decreased at the lace patterning, and poorly cast on. And these were from a year ago! How much I’ve grown in a year, eh?

They look pretty great, don’t they? I’m not sure what I was thinking about knitting them in that color, though. But I don’t mind. They’ll be great with my ravelry tshirt! The yarn is pretty darn nice, I hope it wears well, we’ll find out. It’s knitpicks swish in aloe. It’s really soft… and yes, I knit it longer than necessary because I’ve heard it shrinks.

And a pair? I lied. I still have the second one on needles…. somewhere around here.
