finished but for the finishing
7 May 2008There’s a reason why they call it binding off and not finishing off.
Six balls of Regia Silk 6 ply mostly all used up, with 15 repeats of the flower baskets. Pretty pretty!
What do you mean, I have to get the ends woven in and the shawl itself soaked and pinned and blocked?
Oh well. It’ll be worth it. On to the next lace piece! I never learn.

I know how you feel, it’s just like how a cardigan isn’t finished until it has buttons…
Can’t wait to see the final product!
Ooh…it looks so soft and lovely.
What ends??
Lovely!
I can block it for you! (And then keep it!) I kid. Very pretty!
Cardigans need buttons? Uh oh.
The shawl is gorgeous! Blocking is easy. Binding off is one of those unending chores.
Your shawl is beautiful! I am probably one of the few people (maybe the only one) who likes lace pre-blocking as much as I like it post-blocking!
That’s going to be gorgeous!
It’s gorgeous! You’ve done a beautiful job.
Uh oh - I am about to be a ‘pusher’ fair warning! I have a bunch of Regia Silk that is about to go on sale at 40-50% off!
Me like shiny!
