finished but for the finishing

There’s a reason why they call it binding off and not finishing off.

DSCN8915

Six balls of Regia Silk 6 ply mostly all used up, with 15 repeats of the flower baskets. Pretty pretty!

What do you mean, I have to get the ends woven in and the shawl itself soaked and pinned and blocked?

Oh well. It’ll be worth it. On to the next lace piece! I never learn.

  1. I know how you feel, it’s just like how a cardigan isn’t finished until it has buttons… :P Can’t wait to see the final product!

  2. Ooh…it looks so soft and lovely.

  3. What ends?? ;) Lovely!

  4. I can block it for you! (And then keep it!) I kid. Very pretty!

  5. Cardigans need buttons? Uh oh.

The shawl is gorgeous! Blocking is easy. Binding off is one of those unending chores.

  6. Your shawl is beautiful! I am probably one of the few people (maybe the only one) who likes lace pre-blocking as much as I like it post-blocking!

  7. That’s going to be gorgeous!

  8. It’s gorgeous! You’ve done a beautiful job.

  9. Uh oh - I am about to be a ‘pusher’ fair warning! I have a bunch of Regia Silk that is about to go on sale at 40-50% off!

    Me like shiny! :)
