Maybe two bowls would make the bowls unpopular. Right now, is scarce resource and thus much desired.

He looks a little close to the edge of the table there, or is the camera playing tricks on me? I’ve not tried my cats with a bowl. Perhaps I shall have to.

Cute catchen in bowls pictures! I agree with Jeanne, the first thing I thought was “That looks awfully close to the table corner/edge?”
But now my nuttly ginger cat might get ideas and push fruit right out of the bowl. seriously. must keep him away from this picture.
If you had two bowls, the catchen would both want to be in one of them and would ignore the other.
